Hello Internet!
First of all... I'd like to apologise for the month wait for my next post, it's just that I did go on holiday (to New York!)and I have been getting settled into a new sixth form! However, I did upload a YouTube video! Anyway, nuff said, enjoy my newest post!

Just because the summer holidays are over, doesn't mean you can't party! So here's a 'not-so summer playlist' that personally I would if I had thrown some sort of party or gathering of some sort. Obviously no party would have only 13 songs equated on it, but this would be an insight go a snippet to a MUCH larger playlist! I would highly recommend listening to this particular 'playlist' in this order. I carefully placed them in this order for the best flow and transition between songs to create this collection of songs.
1. No Money - Galantis
Now although this song was overplayed to the grave and back in June/July, this song provides a great party starting, due to its lively beat and uplifting lyrics. This song just makes you think of all the festivals that you either attended, to watch people attend... Apologising for having no money in this song seems to be a reoccurring theme, however that beat must have made some greens for Galantis! A true 'party starter song' anyday!
2. Closer - The Chainsmokers Ft. Halsey
Now this is that, 'lovely dovey' breakup song that we've all been craving for to scream out to the top of our lungs to! And... The Chainsmokers... BLESSED US WITH IT. The song was kinda on the down low until The Chainsmokers and Halsey performed it live on the VMAs, and since then, it has been history! With the catchy melody you'll have new listeners remembering this song after the party's long gone!
3. Talk - DJ Snake Ft. George Maple
Originally sampled from George Maple herself, DJ Snake reproduced this song to the better (in my opinion). Compared to the slower, much dreary original version... DJ Snake breathes a new light to this song, with an upbeat, well beat; this song is amazing! It's a personal favourite of mine, and I always have it on repeat! It's extremely summery and very undercover at the moment!
4. The Greatest - Sia Ft. Kendrick Lamar
Sia...SIa...SIA! This woman NEVER ceases to impress me with her music! Her vocals... Her lyrics... HAVING KENDRICK! This upbeat single which is fresh on the scene at the moment was made in memory of the terrible mass murders of the people of Orlando in an LGBTQ nightclub. The upbeat backing track makes this song very special, as it gives us an element of summer, but also reminds us of why Sia actually created this song.
5. Heathens - twenty one pilots
Although written for the film 'Suicide Squad', thus making the song quite eerie, this song is pretty 'party' as one, its catchy and two, theres a lot of 'beat drops' throughout! Which is what a good party needs! However, since its quite scary, I might save it for the Halloween shindig...Sorry Tyler and Josh!
6. Too Good - Drake Ft. Rihanna
ANYTHING WHICH CONSISTS OF DRAKE AND RIHANNA, IS GOING TO BE A PIECE OF ART. On a serious note however, this song has increasingly become popular from Drake's controversial 'Views' album, if this song was food... it would be extremely flavoursome! Good one Drake and RhiRhi! Great party tune!
7. White Iverson - Post Malone
This song came to light near the end of last year, and it hasnt quite left my mouth! Its always something I'm singing! Its very chilled out but with a great rhythm. Therefore, this sing is totally dope! And once you've watched the video, you'll know when to dab to the correct parts in this banger!
8. Recognise - PARTYNEXTDOOR Ft. Drake
Signed to Drake's record label OVO Sound, PARTYNEXTDOOR has created a largely known song which is great for all kinds of chill outs. The baseline is a piece of gold, and to be fair, it needs to be, well... recognised! Despite the continuous use of the B word and the N word, this song is party catchy! Plus having Drake feature on the record, puts the icing on the cake!
9. Gwan Big Up Urself - Roy Woods
Bringing in Jamaican linguistics and music with an upbeat Americanised and modernised twist, Roy Woods creates a song which is going to be used at the apex of my party! Also signed up to Drakes record label, Roy Woods is another specially talented person who's been discovered. He's one to watch out for in the future!
10. Fade - Kanye West
There aren't many words for this song, except that Mr. Kanye West has written this, and it's a piece of music which is so strange but also amazing. The music video was premiered on the VMAs and it's stranger than the song if you ask me! Still trying to work out if Post Malone is the dude singing in the song!
11. F*ck Up Some Commas - Future
This song just has one of those beats that you literally just jump to because the base is that strong. Still having no clue what Future is actually talking about in 79% of the song... It's definitely a hardcore party tune.
12. Pink + White - Frank Ocean
This exclusive song from Blond by Frank Ocean which is only available on Apple Music (peak for you Android users...) Frank has created a song which is very chilled and laid back, I wouldn't call it a party tune as such, but more of a small gathering. This is because of the intensity and cosiness of the song. It's literally all pink! In a good way!
13. With You - Drake Ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR & Jeremiah
A good way to finish off any party, the music is still upbeat, but more chilled out. This is great for any party as it's not too heavy, but not too light. Drake brings it just right. He knows the motion (if you know you know). Having the accompaniment of PARTYNEXTDOOR and Jeremiah, this just adds some extra 'umph' to the song overall. To be honest, Drake is just amazing in himself.
